SANTIAGO MARTIN WILL BE BEHIND THE BARS IF UDF COMES TO POWER

It was VD Satheesan who raised the issue of lottery first in the assembly. Only then did the public came to know the gruesome corruption in the lottery field. Even after repeated persuasions from the part of the UDF, the LDF turned a blind eye towards this pestering problem.

Nonetheless, the Chief Minister was more eager to send letters after letters to the Prime Minister, rather than seeking legitimate and simple solutions to resolve this issue by means of calling the DGP of the state and asking him to conduct a thorough inquiry. What a pathetic plight are we heading to if this is the state of affairs of a 100% literate state!

The true face of VS has become all the more evident with him unwilling to file a case against his dear Arun Kumar but haunted Sudhakaran just for making a public speech in Kottakkara. All this was done despite the UDF giving a written petition against Arun Kumar. The unblemished leader did nothing but transferred the case to Lokayukta. What more has this show in store for the ‘Aam Admi’?

A meagre 14,500 crore robbery per year is being systematically extracted by the lottery mafia. The past five years saw the rise and rise of mafias and becoming established companies, calculating their turnovers per annum, just as any company would do!

The Chief Minister of this state says there needs to be a CBI enquiry into the issue whereas the Finance Minister out rightly shuns it, and so does the official section of the CPI(M). Desabhimani received Rs.2 crore as a token of gratitude from the mafia. As the memories of the people are not as short-lived as the government, they will not forget the broadcast of lottery draw in Kairali TV for a prolonged period. If this broadcast did not yield any money, was it done for charity?

The babble unleashed by the Chief Minister of this state before assuming power was that he is all set to confiscate the outstanding amount of Rs.5000 crore from the lottery mafia. As an outstanding achievement, he could not even get 1 paisa back from them. That is the political will that the people of this state look for in the chief minister!!!

If the king himself is so great, how greater would be his sycophants?
